I've got a large assortment of mostly size L-XL cycling clothes that I don't use any longer.  All of the clothing is in good to very good condition and some is even brand new. All from a non-smoking house and freshly laundered.

We're going to do this a little differently, the first person that donates $100 to the HMBA trail fund gets it all!  Feel free to donate more and I'll buy you a beer too in return.  Feel free to PM me with your phone ## and I can forward some pics.  Below is a list of the items and condition.  Total retail value is well north of $700 when new.  Donate now, get some new clothes and let's build some trails!

-Oakley Baggy Shorts with chamois - Brand new and $130 price tag is still on them (size L but fit like a XL_
-Cannondale Baggy shorts with chamois - Probably used 2-3 times (Size L but run large)
-Castelli Thermal bibs - Good to VG condition (were in the neighborhood of $150 new) size L
-Castelli Over-shorts - VG condition but 1 of 2 waist buttons is broken, great to wear over nut huggers.
-Voler Shorts with Chamois - These are older but still functional
-Fox XXL SS Jersey - Loose fitting and good condition
-Fox XL Sleeveless Jersey - Loose fitting and in VG condition
-Performance LS Jersey - Good condition
-Pearl Izumi Sleeveless Jersey - XL in good condition
-Performance SS Jersey - XL in VG condition...great for hot weather
-DeFeet Wool "Kneekers" - Never worn

I've posted in the classifieds, but thought I would give the "Racers" a heads up.  My LJ100 entry is for sale.  Check out the ad if you're interested and let me know this weekend...it's going up on the Michigan site on Monday and will sell right away there.

Buy, Sell, Trade / Lumberjack 100 Entry For Sale
« on: May 27, 2016, 01:12:09 PM »
With 2 kids playing travel baseball, I've been spending more time at the baseball diamonds this year than in the woods, because of that I'm selling my entry to this years LJ100.  The race is Saturday June 18th.  Price is exactly what I paid for it, $175 (which includes the shirt, $155 without) + $20 transfer fee.  I want to give some fellow Hoosiers a chance to do the race  before I list it elsewhere.  If it's not sold by Monday, I'll be listing in on the Michigan site and it will be gone immediately.  Whoever buys it is welcome to share our pit spot as I'll still be there crewing for a friend that's in the race.

Racing...from the novice to seasoned / Iceman, who's going this year?
« on: October 22, 2015, 10:36:20 AM »
Who all is making the trip to Traverse City this year?  Always one of my favorite races and weekends of the year.  I'm looking forward to it and my bike/wallet are hoping that conditions are slightly better than last years mud fest! :o

I saw online (Logansport paper) where France Park is out for the upcoming year.  Can't say that was a surprise, that train has been coming for a while.  Curious to see what the schedule looks like and what new trail we might get to ride!

Find a Ride / Suggestions for the Grand Rapids, MI area needed...
« on: July 12, 2013, 04:19:19 PM »
Running up there this Sunday and will have several hours to ride.  I know about Ft. Custer around the Kalamazoo area but is there any really great riding around GR?  Also, is Founders the best brew pub to stop at? ;D

Other- North / Volunteers Needed, France Park Trail Work 1-19-13...
« on: January 02, 2013, 05:30:10 PM »
Things are really taking shape at France Park and now it's time for the MTB community to step up and help out!  We're planning a volunteer work day for Saturday January 19th at 2pm.  Paul Arlinghaus is going to be there lending a hand and park management is trying to get some of their employees to attend as well (they've been doing a ton of work already).   This is a great chance for us to show the new management what we can do and help to transform France Park into a great riding destination.

Feel free to PM with any questions and I'll keep this post updated as we get closer to the 12th.

Racing...from the novice to seasoned / Brown County Dino Race....
« on: May 25, 2012, 09:16:38 AM »
Does anyone know what the course will be for the Brown Co. race?  Specifically, are they going to add Green Valley to the course this year?  I'm taking a new racer down either this weekend or early next week and want to show him the layout.  Thanks!

Has anyone here done it or have any advice?  I'll probably be asking a ton of questions, but thought I would throw a general question out here first.  I'm working on putting together a training plan now, but would be very interested in any input some of you might have.

Some of the main things I'm concerned about are:
- Nutrition leading up to the event
- How to deal with the altitude
- Training and then tapering for the event (I've also got a family vacation planned for 2 weeks before the race)
- Best training methods to take advantage of my limited time schedule
- Should I start doing heart rate work (Never done it)
- And of course, which new bike do I buy for this  ;D

Thanks in advance everyone
