Wapehani / Re: Wapahani dam removal is complete...what now??

There could be funds available to revamp Wapehani with Gov Holcomb's new program.  If Bloomington parks is interested, it could work out well.

Why do you think the Stumpjumper frame would be better than the Procaliber?

Tech Bench / Re: What's Everyone's Favorite Tire

In the winter time, I like Schwalbe Nobby Nics and Maxxis Ardents. Both have a reasonable balance of grip and speed.

For dry summer conditions, Racing Ralphs, Ikons and Bontrager XR1 and XR0's.  For slicker summer conditions, Rocket Rons.

I don't know for a fact that it would go to Sycamore Land Trust. It is speculation as I believe she donated land on the east side of Valley Branch Rd years ago.

Trails are complete soup at the moment. I closed all of the gates. We rode the roads in the park last night.  A special thank you to that one guy on the trail last night who lacked any sense and decided to pizza cutter his way through the trails.

Does land in those three locations all touch that the trails could all be combined, maybe even with BCSP/YWW/HNF?  WOW if so....think of the 100's of miles of trails that could exist/link if that were to happen!  I know, I know....wishful thinking/dreaming at best, but hey, you never know!

Gnaw Bone and Valley Branch butt up against each other but not the park (Separated by Hwy 135 and private property from BCSP)

I would guess that when Alice Lorenz passes, Gnaw Bone Camp would end up being owned by the Sycamore Land Trust.

Google maps shows Hoosier National Forest running parallel to SR46 behind Ski  World, about 1500 ft back from the road.  That would be close to the top of the Billy Kidd run (the tallest run that directly faces the road).  So, there's a good chance it abuts HNF.

Its connected. A wrong turn one day had me coming down the ski slopes

It is no more elevation than we already have at BCSP. It is just more visible from 46.  It is not that large of an area to have a good trail network.

Fett,  The Parks Dept has not released the video. Sorry.

That seems odd. It is going to be pretty hard to identify him, if no one gets to see the video.
