Second one just after the bridge going CC. Just a friendly reminder, these are still there and will require a chainsaw. 4

Are they welded or brazed? That's the first thing to determine to know who to look for to fix them.

So it's what was the "second climb" of Hobbs and the shortcut to HP.
Did I miss the notice here on the forums of the 2 way change and renaming? 6

Fort Harrison State Park / Re: Trail Need - Wrong Way Signs?« on: October 29, 2017, 07:52:30 AM »Yesterday on two separate occasions I came across people riding the trail in the wrong direction.... ...Maybe ride counter clockwise on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. If people have trouble figuring out the correct direction to ride when the trails are always one way in the same direction, it seems like there would be a lot more confusion if the direction changed every other day. 11
Tech Bench / Re: Light question« on: October 10, 2017, 11:17:29 AM »
User preference. If your lights are the same size, try it both ways.
Mine are not too far off in brightness. Wider beam on bars with a more focused beam on helmet. Helmet light is always pointed where you look while the handlebar light brings your sight back to the trail quickly. 12

Well....it sounds like you went above and beyond as an uphill rider with the right-of-way and roughly half of the riders need to learn to ride within the rules and their abilities. Hopefully this situation will improve when HFT opens and more of these riders use it instead of HP. 13
Rants and Raves / Re: Which side when meeting oncoming riders?« on: September 25, 2017, 10:50:23 PM »
lol...not me, I try to watch ahead (or be ready to stop very quickly if the sightline is limited).
Seriously (not trying to be an a$$ here), I'm wondering why this repeatedly becomes a problem for you. Maybe you should consider stopping more often instead of counting on squeezing by. There are lots of us, experienced and noobs, that are not as comfortable squeezing past with both riders moving on narrow trails like HP with steep side slopes. 14
Rants and Raves / Re: Which side when meeting oncoming riders?« on: September 23, 2017, 08:52:24 AM »
I agree with Fett.
I often pull off to the left/uphill side to clear the trail when STOPPING to let oncoming riders by. When not stopping, I'll take whichever side the other rider gives me (usually the right) or whichever seems safer for both of us given the circumstances. I don't assume everyone will follow unwritten or written rules. I'm the guy that often stops while climbing to let the downhill rider enjoy his ride uninterrupted. Sorry for breaking that "rule". What I don't like is the "dick" that blows past me in a tight spot without slowing or even considering stopping to allow a safer pass. 15
