Find a Trail / Re: Winter Trails
« on: November 19, 2011, 07:36:09 PM »
Laurel Lake is what you'll find down near Lodon. The sheltowee is part of that trail system but there is off shoots of other trails. Your best bet is to head over to ICS and talk to Scott Irons. He'll probably have maps or he'll draw something up. Locally, VBR will be leaf covered and probably hold up better (it gets no traffic). Also, you can ride the gravel roads down near Hickory (close to Nebo) to keep the legs going.

I would suggest the simple things, such as, ride your bike more, eat right as much as you can, get good rest, stretching after  rides, and just have fun. It's more of a life style that takes time to adapt to. You'll gain fitness leaps and bounds specially if your coming from the bottom by just doing these simple things.

Front works with both, rear shimano needs to be paired with a sram attack shifter.

I interrupt Shark's comment to tell him, GET BACK TO WORK SLACKER!

Tech Bench / Re: Best wheel builder in Indy area?
« on: June 29, 2011, 11:20:05 PM »
Last year I had Zach at Rev. Bike & Bean (yeah I know they're not in indy) build me a set of No Tubes ztr355 with hope pro 2 hubs. I took them straight to Dirt sweat & gears and ran them 7 laps around that course. They were still true! Unfortunately, Zach is moving to Colorado next month. Visiting Colorado to pickup a set wheels is not a bad option!

I'm bettin nhunt is in the top 5 his debut race. That kids a badass. He's running the trail race the day before, just to warm up. Better look out hemi!

He's sounds hardcore! Could always use someone new to pull us around the course!

Same course as last year(s). Map is available on DINO website.
Trail conditions are dry and in great shape. Hot hot... bring plenty of water with you for the race.

Thanks for the update Brian! I'm sure next year might be different.

Sweet! Always nice to see new faces out at the races!!

Anybody have the scoop on the route for the Dino race? I hear rumors that the new trail could be added in to change things up and to break in the trail.

Muscatatuck Trails / Found Pump

Last Saturday after the DRT race I found a hand held bike pump laying on the trail. I'll be at BCSP this Sunday for the Dino Race if you want to re claim it.

Newbies Corner / Re: Firearms Season for Deer

I went to Nebo for a ride about 5 years ago on opening day by accident. I did have my orange Jersey so I went for it. As I tried to leave the parking lot at Hunter gets my attention and asked me if he could borrow some tools to put together his tree stand. 20 minutes later and his stand was built so I made him promise not to shoot me. Plus I figured exactly what Rob said. There was no way he was going to drag that stand up the hill to were I was going. And he was going to have to use the same trail I was using so the likely hood of being mistaken is very doubtful.
