Dang.  Hate to see you go.  But better things await you.  Enjoy the riding out there.  What I rode was absolutely incredible.
You know where to find us!

Tech Bench / Re: Helmet for cold weather?

I tried on the pants but the drawstring just won't cut it. It has one of those plastic, spring loaded cinch do-dads. It felt too loose and that was just in the dressing room. To bad since the price is reasonable.

I have a pair of these and will have to look at the waistband.  No problems when riding with them.  Nothing moves around unexpectedly.
For hands, I have been told my many that the bar mits are the way to go.  Seems like regular gloves or just thin liners inside of them are enough.  I've not tried them -- frankly, commuting both ways in the dark gets old quickly, so I don't know if I will.
I have lobster gloves and my hands sweat enough that they get wet and cold.  I make it about an hour of my commute and then have problems.
For the helmet, I was thinking if you stay in a fancy hotel, grab a shower hair cover.  Try it.  Then you know if such a thing will work for you and can get something specific.

Yes to an Indiana endurance race. 100 mile/100k options please.  No multiple laps if possible.

Tech Bench / Five Ten dealer

Anyone know of a five ten dealer in the Indy area?  Wanting a set of shoes to go with my flats ... know I need to try the shoes on instead of just ordering online.

Brown County State Park / Re: Rider down

...Saw later that he made it out ok and got all stitched up...

We should all have the BCSP and BC Sheriffs Dept, phone numbers saved in our cell phones for emergency use. It has expedited more than one extraction of a downed rider.

Never thought of a direct dial.  Care to share the numbers?

Have not made it to the park, but the farm trail is somewhat slick.  Much drier than this am (got about an inch last night).  Trying to get there before the storms that are due to hit tonight.  Go figure, I get to be close for preriding and the weather does not cooperate.

Rode them this am.  Great with only a couple of wet spots.  Come ride.

Lots of rain last night and today about 3.5 miles from tha park.  Prob red right now.   :(

I also did a betterride camp.  Take paper and writing utensil.  The best option I saw was a guy using his phone to record some of the demonstrations.  THIS is something I wish I had from my camp.  Be prepared for all levels of experience to be there.  You will get out of it when you put into it.

Is this a one vote only?  Or once per day?  FB let's me vote daily.  Or is my vote done?

Lumberjack fills FAST.  Mohican is June 1.  I've completed the 100k twice now.  Cohutta is in April, if that helps.  THough there are fireroads involved, they are steep and long.

I'm interested in getting to more of the WEMS races.  Those are totally off-road endurance events.

Where in the Indy area are you?

Add trainerroad to the mix and you have a pretty good combination.  Sufferfest videos are built into the mix (you have to buy the videos seperately).
